Content types

There are five types of content you can add to the site:

Book pages

Book pages are organized in a hierarchy. They should always be associated with a project.

Forum discussions

Forum discussions allow multiple users to discuss a topic. They are very useful for project.

Stories

A story is a single page that tells the reader about ongoing research, news, and other intersting things. Such contributions are meant to appear on the front page and in special listings where users can search for past stories. They can but do not have to be associated with one of the projects on this site. The listing of stories on the front page is still under development.

Events

An event is a single page that describes a dated event. The idea is that such pages can be organized by date and would integrate with a site calendar. Currently this is not supported. Possible events are PhD defenses, seminars, workshops, conferences, etc.

Personal pages

While most pages on the site can be edited by multiple persons, personal pages can only be edited by their author. Personal pages are always located under /user/[username]/[page title].
